Heaven & Hell / O céu e o inferno

Desde que nosso coelho morreu meu filho tem falado muito sobre Deus, a morte e o que acontece com as pessoas e com os bichos depois que eles morrem.
Outro dia ele me disse que não gostava mais de Deus porque ele era muito malvado.
O motivo: 'um amigo da escola falou que Deus é quem decide se a gente vai morrer. Conclusão: Deus só pode ser mau! E foi ele que resolveu matar nosso coelho!'.
Eu bem que tentei explicar que o coelho morreu porque ficou doente, mas meu filho parecia convicto e aliviado com sua conclusão.
Na nossa última conversa ele perguntou: ‘mãe afinal o que é o inferno?’
A dificuldade dessas conversas não é só tentar responder essas perguntas para um garoto de 6 anos mas respondê-las para si mesma…
No meio disso vi num outro blog um vídeo instalação do artista Marco Brambilla sobre o céu e o inferno.

O vídeo passa no elevador do The Standart Hotel em NYC enquanto os hospedes sobem e descem aqui na terra.

Since our rabbit died my son has talked a lot about God, death and what happens after we all die.
The other day he told me he doesn’t like God anymore becouse he is mean.
When I asked why, he told me that a friend at school told him that God is the one that decides whether we will die or not. His conclusion: 'God likes to kill people. God is bad! And by the way he killed our rabbit!'.
Well, I tried to explain that the rabbit died because he was sick, but my son seems to be more relieved with his own conclusion…
In our last conversation he asked me: ‘mam what is actually the hell?’
What is trick about this whole situation is not only to answer this soort of thing to a 6 years old boy but to answer this also to yourself.
Meanwhile I saw in another blog a video installation of the artist Marco Brambilla about hell and heaven.
The video is showed in the elevator of The Standart Hotel in NYC while the guests go up and down here in earth.
